Outdoor Smoking Restrictions
In unincorporated Sampson County, Sec. 4-7-03 of the county code bans smoking and tobacco use inside every county-owned or leased building, on the grounds around those buildings, and in county vehicles. A stricter zone applies at the Health Department and Department of Social Services, where the ban runs a full fifty feet from the buildings with no designated smoking spot allowed anywhere inside that perimeter.
