Prohibited Species
Spokane County has designated a countywide weed extermination area under Chapter 8.32 of the county code, declaring Russian Thistle, Canada Thistle, Dalmatian Toadflax, Leafy Spurge, Russian Knapweed, White Top, Klamath Weed and other invasive plants noxious species that must be destroyed. Landowners who let designated weeds seed or spread face eradication by the county weed inspector at the owner's expense.
