Recreational Drones
Waukesha County requires a written permit from the Parks and Land Use Department before anyone launches or lands a drone inside a county park. Section 14-161 groups unmanned aircraft with gliders, parachutes and manned planes under one takeoff-and-landing ban, so recreational flying over county park land, not open airspace generally, needs sign-off first.
