Scott County's Juvenile Curfew Ordinance No. 15 sets countywide nighttime curfews by age: under-12 by 9 PM, ages 12–14 by 10 PM, and ages 15–17 by 11 PM on school nights, all running until 5 AM.
Ordinance No. 15 (adopted 1995, amended 2013 under Minn. Stat. §145.05A) bars juveniles under 18 from public places during curfew hours across Scott County, including within its cities. Children under 12 must be off public places by 9 PM Sunday–Thursday and 10 PM Friday–Saturday. Ages 12–14 get an extra hour (10 PM weeknights, 11 PM weekends). Ages 15–17 run until 11 PM Sunday–Thursday and 12:01 AM Saturday–Sunday. All curfews lift at 5 AM. Defenses include being with a parent, traveling to work, attending school or religious events, and emergencies. The County Attorney administers the ordinance.
A juvenile violation is handled under MN Stat. §260B.235. A parent or proprietor who knowingly permits a curfew breach commits a misdemeanor punishable under MN Stat. §609.03.
