Dane County park hours are set by Chapter 16 of the Dane County Code of Ordinances, which closes county parks (including Lake Farm, Token Creek, Indian Lake, and Stewart Lake) from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Madison General Ordinances (MGO) 8.20 closes all city parks from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM, with earlier dusk closure at James Madison, Olin, and Vilas Parks. Sun Prairie Municipal Code Ch. 17 and Fitchburg Ch. 12 close parks at 10:00 PM. Middleton Ch. 15 closes parks 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Monona Ch. 14 and Verona Ch. 14 close at dusk or 10 PM. Camping without permit is prohibited. Yahara lakes shoreline parks and Lake Monona beaches follow standard park hours. Alcohol is restricted in county parks without permit under Dane County Ord. 16.03.
