Bucks County operates an extensive park system through the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation, with signature parks including Core Creek Park (Middletown), Peace Valley Park (New Britain Township, with Lake Galena), Silver Lake Nature Center (Bristol Township), Churchville Nature Center, Neshaminy Manor, and many smaller properties. County park hours are typically dawn to dusk (or 9 PM in summer) unless posted otherwise, per regulations adopted by the Bucks County Commissioners. After-hours access is a summary offense under the park rules and may be prosecuted as defiant trespass under 18 Pa.C.S. §3503(b). Pennsylvania state parks in Bucks County — including Tyler State Park (Newtown Township), Nockamixon State Park (Haycock Township), Neshaminy State Park (Bensalem), Ralph Stover State Park (Tinicum), Washington Crossing Historic Park (Upper Makefield), Delaware Canal State Park (along the river), and portions of others — operate under DCNR rules at 17 Pa. Fishing with appropriate PA Fish & Boat Commission license may permit nighttime waterway access in designated areas. Park rangers, DCNR conservation officers, and local police enforce closures.
