Goodyear parks are closed to the public from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (summer) or 10:00 PM to opening (winter). Summer hours run from the 3rd Monday in April through the 3rd Monday in October. Winter hours apply the remainder of the year. Special Use Permits are required for after-hours park use, amplified sound, and organized events.
Goodyear Parks and Recreation establishes park hours that function as a park curfew. Summer hours (3rd Monday in April through 3rd Monday in October) are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Winter hours (3rd Monday in October through 3rd Monday in April) are 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. All city parks, playgrounds, trails, and sports facilities close at 10:00 PM year-round. Being in a park during closed hours without a Special Use Permit is prohibited. Special Use Permits from Parks and Recreation are required for amplified sound, organized sporting events, tournaments, food or souvenir vending, and special events. Reservable ramadas and facilities may have different hours specified in rental agreements. Goodyear Community Park, Estrella Mountain Regional Park (Maricopa County), and neighborhood parks all follow these hours.
Entering or remaining in a city park during closed hours without authorization may result in trespassing enforcement by Goodyear PD at (623) 932-1220. Conducting events without Special Use Permits violates park rules. Parks and Recreation at (623) 932-3200 manages permit applications and park rule enforcement.
