every day, including Sunday, and makes it unlawful for anyone to enter or remain in a park or facility during those closed hours. The director of the parks, recreation and tourism department can designate different hours for individual parks with county council's approval, so posted signage at a specific site can vary the default window. The subsection carves out three exceptions: entering solely to launch or retrieve a boat within a reasonable time, entering an area designated for camping or recreational-vehicle occupancy if the person is lawfully camping or parking there, or is their invited guest, and entering solely to fish, so long as the person fishing is not disturbing others nearby.

The broader subsection (16) also separately bans entering without paying a required fee, refusing to pay to remain, entering while the park is closed to the public generally, providing false campsite registration information, and camping more than 30 consecutive days without staff permission. This article was readopted by Ordinance No. 2019-07 on February 19, 2019 and last amended by Ordinance No. 2025-25 on January 20, 2026. Section 22-113 makes any violation, including entering after hours, a misdemeanor punished under Sec. 1-7 of the county code.
