Schaumburg public parks and forest preserves close at 11:00 PM and reopen at sunrise. Remaining in a park after hours is a violation enforced by Schaumburg PD and Park District staff.
All Village of Schaumburg parks are closed to the public from 11:00 PM to sunrise unless otherwise posted or authorized by the Schaumburg Park District. This includes playgrounds, athletic fields, walking paths, picnic areas, and parking lots within park boundaries. The Schaumburg Park District manages most local parks and may set facility-specific hours for indoor recreation centers and specialty facilities. After-hours access may be granted for organized events with advance approval from the Park District. Schaumburg Police patrol parks after hours and may issue citations to trespassers. Vehicles found in park parking lots after closing may be ticketed or towed. Neighboring Cook County forest preserves have separate hours and rules enforced by Forest Preserve District police.
Citation and fine up to $500 for being in a park after posted closure hours. Vehicles may be ticketed or towed.
