Full Breakdown

Sec. 78-28 sets city park hours at 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day of the year, and bars anyone from remaining past 10:00 p.m., except during unusual emergencies or during city-sponsored sporting events on athletic fields. The city or its authorized representative can also declare any park, or any section of one, closed to the public at any time and for any interval, for example, during flooding, maintenance, or a special event. A violation is punishable under the Code's general penalty section, § 1-9, the same misdemeanor-fine framework used across the parks chapter.

Being in a Springdale park after 10 p.m., without an applicable exception, is a misdemeanor punishable under the general penalty in § 1-9.
