St. Clair County, IL Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Park Regulations Section 27-2-1(A) sets Silver Creek Preserve's hours as open all year, seven days a week, from dawn to dusk. The same section bars fires at any time, bathing, swimming, wading, fishing or boating, alcohol and glass containers, firearms, shooting, hunting or trapping, and any animals other than support dogs for a disabled, blind or hearing-impaired patron. Guardians must accompany any minor 15 or younger, vehicles must stay on paved drives and lots, no motorized vehicles are allowed on the walking trail, and 27-2-1(Q) limits the Preserve to family or group picnics, barring gated events that charge admission without the County Chairman's written permission.

Foley Park, the county's other park, runs on a seasonal daytime schedule under Section 27-1-3(A) rather than a dawn-to-dusk rule: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from February 15 through April 30, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from May 1 through Labor Day weekend, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Labor Day weekend through October 15. Motor vehicles may enter Foley Park only during those posted hours, and the Park speed limit is 10 miles per hour. A group seeking to stay overnight at Foley Park faces a further seasonal cutoff under Section 27-1-4: no overnight or multi-day group stay is allowed from October 16 through April 15 of the following year, and any group booking outside that window must sign an agreement, post a $50 damage deposit, supply proof of liability insurance, and provide one adult supervisor for every four children under 16.
