Under Sec. 2(b)(1), a "P" "indicates the listed use is allowed by right within the respective zoning district," so a conventional data center in those four districts needs no special permitted use hearing before the Parish Council.

That sets the use apart from its table neighbor, "data mining center" (LBCS 4245, blockchain cryptocurrency mining), which the same table confines to a special permitted use in I-H alone and subjects to the added noise, electromagnetic, and utility-verification standards of Sec. 1. The distinction also runs narrower than it looks: a related use, "online information services" (LBCS 4241, internet access and service providers), is permitted only in I-MU and prohibited in the other four industrial districts, so the parish treats internet-service operations more restrictively than the broader data-processing and hosting category that covers most data center operations.
