Cobb County is a certified Local Issuing Authority under the Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Act (O.C.G.A. Disturbance of 5,000 square feet or more requires a Land Disturbance Permit (LDP) with an erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control (ES&PC) plan prepared by a Level II Design Professional. Required BMPs per Green Book 2016: stabilized construction exits, silt fencing (Sd1-C), inlet protection, check dams, temporary/permanent vegetative stabilization. State-waters buffer: 25 feet from top of bank on perennial/intermittent streams; 50 feet for designated trout waters; 75 feet for Chattahoochee within the Metropolitan River Protection Act corridor.
