Violations & Fines
Failure to obtain a required floodplain development permit, or building contrary to an approved plan, is a violation of Chapter 115 handled under the Article XXVIII enforcement procedure. Section 115-229 makes any violation of Chapter 115 a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $100, with each day the violation continues treated as a separate offense; owners, builders, contractors and agents who assist in the violation are each separately liable.
