In R-1, R-1A, R-2, and R-3 districts, front-yard fences and walls are capped at four feet, with narrow exceptions letting a residential lot match an adjacent commercial or industrial parcel's fence height, or allowing six-foot chain-link or wrought-iron fences at churches and schools in residential districts. Side and rear yards in residential districts, and any yard in commercial districts, allow up to eight feet; industrial districts allow up to ten feet. The finished side must face outward, barbed or razor wire is barred outside commercial and industrial zones, and no fence may block visibility required under Section 4-13.
