Under Section 62-2109, no fence or solid wall in any residential zoning classification shall exceed 6 feet in height. Agricultural, commercial, industrial, or tourist commercial zones allow 8 feet. Where commercial/industrial zones adjoin residential, fences may be up to 10 feet (12 feet with a binding development plan). Wooden fencing in residential zones may be constructed an additional 3 inches above standard heights (e.g., 6 feet 3 inches) to accommodate linear cap features along the top edge and airflow along the bottom edge. Vegetation, walls, or other obstructions blocking traffic views are prohibited.
