Ada County Code Section 8-3-6(E) permits perimeter-boundary fences up to six feet above grade, so a fence may sit on the shared property line between adjoining owners. Section 8-3-6(B) prohibits any sight-obscuring fence, hedge, wall, latticework, or screen that violates the clear-vision-triangle requirements at a street intersection. Section 8-3-6(G) requires that any sight-obscuring fence required by Title 8 to protect adjacent properties be maintained in good repair. The county code does not allocate cost or ownership of a shared fence; those disputes are resolved between neighbors under Idaho civil law, not by Development Services.
