Erie, PA Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Sidewalk & Mobile Vending (2026)

Article 313 defines a VENDOR as any person engaged in selling, or offering for sale, of food, beverages or merchandise on the public streets or sidewalks from a stand or motor vehicle or from his person, and a STAND as any table, showcase, bench, rack, pushcart, wagon or other wheeled device used to display, store or transport the goods. 02 makes it unlawful to engage in that business anywhere in the City without first obtaining a license. 03 disclosing their name and address, a description of the goods sold, a photo taken within 60 days, any prior criminal or ordinance convictions, a Health Department certification (dated within 10 days of filing) that the applicant is free of infectious disease, the proposed vending location, and proof of general liability insurance naming the City as co-insured with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.

The application fee is $200. 06. 07 but must otherwise comply with the article. Renewal applications are due at least 30 days before the current license expires.
