Full Breakdown

Springdale Code of Ordinances § 130, Article 6, § 3.16 governs "mobile vending units": trucks, trailers, kiosks or pushcarts selling food or goods from a parking lot or land site. Restriction 4(j) bars vendors from operating "on a city sidewalk or other public easement or within twenty (20) feet of a public street or roadway." Sites also need a conditional use approved by the planning commission, must sit at least 100 feet from residential zoning, at least 1,320 feet from another mobile vending unit on the same side of the street, and cannot run between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. This is a distinct provision from the roaming itinerant street vendor permit at § 82-3.

Violations & Fines

Operating a mobile vending site without the required conditional use, or on a sidewalk or public easement in violation of § 3.16, can get the conditional use suspended or revoked, and each sale made in violation is a separate offense.
