City Code Sec. 9-435 bars anyone from selling or offering merchandise from a vehicle within the business district or within 200 feet of an electric traffic signal, exempting only farmers selling what they grew. Sec. 5-210 adds that no peddler holds an exclusive right to any location in the public streets, may occupy a stationary location, or may operate in a congested area, with a police officer's good-faith judgment conclusive on congestion. Sec. 12-111 prohibits obstructing streets and sidewalks with goods. The zoning ordinance creates no mobile food vending district; its only food truck reference permits them on-site at an artisan distillery. The city therefore requires written permission from the property owner of any site you vend on.
