Section 5.01.027 sets the geography for mobile food vending: units need written permission of the property owner, and separate written permission from Parks and Recreation to operate in city parks or from Municipal Services to use City parking lots (with pre-approved, signed locations in the Independence Square and Englewood Arts District). Vending from the right-of-way must not block streets, alleys or pedestrian/vehicle flow, and is limited to paved surfaces between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Trucks may not sell within 50 feet of the front or street-facing façade of an open competing restaurant, café or deli, and residential-district parking needs the abutting property owner's consent.
