Nashua, NH Garage & Yard Sales: Frequency, Duration & Permits (2026)

Nashua's Land Use Code sets no permit, frequency, or duration limit on garage and yard sales themselves, the zoning code never addresses the sale as a regulated use. Its only mention of garage sales is in the sign rules: § 190-94(B)(18) lists temporary signs that advertise garage or yard sales (grouped with lost-pet signs) among the signs that need no sign permit in any zoning district. General temporary-sign standards in § 190-106, 30-day maximum duration, no placement in the public right-of-way, one sign per premises, still govern temporary signs unless § 190-94 says otherwise, so a garage-sale sign should stay within those limits even though it needs no permit.
