A home occupation may not regularly attract more than 2 people at once, commercial vehicle visits are capped at 10 per 7-day period, and customer visits and deliveries are barred between 10:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M.
Integrated Development Ordinance Subsection 14-16-4-3(F)(10) limits the traffic a home occupation may generate. Under (i), the home occupation may not regularly attract more than 2 individuals simultaneously and may not generate significantly greater traffic volume than would normally be expected in the surrounding residential area. Under (j), commercial vehicle visits to the property are limited to no more than 10 per consecutive 7-day period. Under (k), customer visits and deliveries to the home occupation may not occur between 10:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. These standards work alongside the IDO's general nuisance limits to keep the business secondary to the residential character of the dwelling.
Exceeding the customer, commercial-vehicle, or hours limits is a zoning violation under the IDO and can lead to revocation of the home occupation's zoning approval.
