Executive Order No. 10 of 2018 bars any plant species listed as Prohibited or Regulated under New York's invasive species regulations from all Westchester County parks, roadsides, and other county-owned land.
All plant species listed as Prohibited and Regulated in New York State's NYCRR PART 575 Invasive Species Regulations shall be prohibited in all Westchester County parks and on all other County lands, along County roadsides, and in gardens surrounding County buildings, and where possible, these species shall be eradicated from County parks and other lands, as well as along County roadsides and in gardens surrounding County buildings.

Under Executive Order No. 10 of 2018 (as amended), the County Executive directs that all plant species listed as Prohibited and Regulated in New York State's 6 NYCRR Part 575 Invasive Species Regulations are prohibited in Westchester County parks and on all other county lands, along county roadsides, and in gardens surrounding county buildings. Where possible, these species must also be eradicated from that same county-owned land. The order applies only to county-owned property, not private land, and requires native plants to be used exclusively in county landscaping projects.
