Citations under Chapter 8.46 trigger an administrative penalty of up to $500 for a first violation and up to $1,000 for additional violations within the same calendar year (per 2017 ordinance amendments). Property owners have 15 days from the citation mailing date to correct the violation and avoid the fine. Continued non-compliance can result in county abatement with costs assessed against the property under § 8.46.110 (Abatement cost—Collection).
