SJRWMD rule 40C-2.042 sets mandatory year-round irrigation schedules for Orange County. During Daylight Saving Time (second Sunday of March through first Sunday of November), addresses ending in odd numbers may irrigate Wednesday and Saturday, even numbers Thursday and Sunday, and non-residential on Tuesday and Friday. During Eastern Standard Time the schedule reduces to 1 day per week (odd Saturday, even Sunday, non-residential Tuesday). Watering is prohibited between 10 AM and 4 PM every day to minimize evaporation loss. Hand-watering with a shutoff nozzle, drip/micro-irrigation, new sod establishment (30 days), and reclaimed water are exempt from day restrictions but still barred during daytime hours. Orange County Utilities enforces within its service area; other retail providers include OUC and Toho Water.
