' That makes any premises with weeds, grass or plant growth exceeding 10 inches a maintenance violation enforceable Township-wide. 1: no property owner or tenant may plant, cultivate or allow bamboo to grow on any lot unless the plant's root system is either entirely confined within an above-ground planter, barrel or similar vessel designed to prevent spread, or contained within a properly built and maintained underground barrier system; even then, no part of any bamboo plant, contained or not, may grow closer than 10 feet to a property line.

Enforcement for both the weed-height limit and the bamboo restriction runs through the IPMC's amended Section 106, as rewritten in § 417-11(F) through (H): fees are set by the Township's current fee schedule, the Director of Licenses and Inspections (or designee) can pursue restraint, correction or abatement including a lien on the property, and violations are prosecuted as a summary offense or civil infraction with fines set by Township Council, each day of continued violation counting as a separate offense.
