In unincorporated Gwinnett County, a bar or nightclub's amplified sound cannot be audible 300 feet into a residential area by day or 100 feet overnight.
It shall be unlawful for any business entity to make, cause, allow, or permit any sound generated through any device that amplifies sound in the normal course of such entity's operation that are plainly audible within any residential area more than 300 feet beyond the boundary of the property from which the sound emanates between the hours of 7:00 a.m. through 11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. through 12:00 midnight on Friday and Saturday.b.It shall be unlawful for any business entity to make, cause, allow, or permit any sound generated through any device that amplifies sound in the normal course of such entity's operation that are plainly audible within any residential area more than 100 feet beyond the boundary of the property from which the sound emanates between the hours of 11:00 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 12:00 midnight through 7:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
