Dodge County, WI Noise from Specific Sources: Generator Noise (2026)

02: Astico, Derge, Harnischfeger, Ledge and Nitschke Mounds parks, plus the Wild Goose State Trail, Glacial River Trail, Gold Star Memorial Trail, the Dodge County Snowmobile Trail and the Dodge County All-Terrain Vehicle Trail. It bars a generator alongside a sound truck, loudspeaker or other device that produces excessive, loud or unusual noises, grouping generator noise with amplified sound and loudspeaker announcements rather than treating it as a separate camping rule. The county carves out two exceptions: noise from a park-sponsored event, and noise the Land Resources and Parks Department has approved in advance, so a camper running a generator at an approved campsite with Department sign-off is not automatically in violation.

08, which lets any law enforcement officer, including the Sheriff's Office, arrest an offender detected violating the chapter and authorizes officers to enter park buildings or structures to investigate a disturbance. The chapter also lets any municipal, county or state officer act as Dodge County's agent for that inspection. Because this provision lives inside the parks chapter, it governs only county park and trail property in unincorporated Dodge County; it does not regulate generator noise on private land, at a residence, or inside an incorporated city or village, each of which sets its own noise rules.
