Unlike many Front Range cities that adopt a hard construction-hours window (e.g., Fort Collins 7 a.m.-8 p.m. weekdays), Loveland Municipal Code Chapter 7.32 does not codify a day-of-week or time-of-day window for construction. Instead, LMC 7.32.060(F) exempts permitted construction from the residential and commercial caps and subjects it to the industrial cap in 7.32.040 (75 db(A) day, 70 db(A) night, measured at 25 feet from the property line) 'for the period of the construction project, provided that the proper construction permit has been issued by the city.' Construction without a valid building permit does NOT get the industrial-zone allowance and is governed by the underlying zone's caps. The LMC 7.32.060(A) daytime burst allowance (+10 db(A) for up to 15 min/hour, 7 a.m.-9 p.m.) also applies, raising the practical daytime peak to 85 db(A) for short events.
