Unincorporated Pinal County sets property-line dBA limits: Residential 60 day / 55 night, Rural 65 / 60, Commercial 65 / 60, Industrial 70 / 65. Levels are measured as a two-minute Leq on an A-weighted Type 2 meter.
Table 1 of Section 6.0(A) fixes Leq limits by zoning classification, measured at the property line where the noise originates. Residential (CR-1A through CR-5, MH, RV, etc.): 60 dBA 7am-8pm, 55 dBA 8pm-7am. Commercial/Business (CB-1, CB-2): 65 dBA 7am-10pm, 60 dBA 10pm-7am. Industrial (CI-B, CI-1, CI-2): 70 dBA 7am-10pm, 65 dBA 10pm-7am. Rural (CAR, SR, GR, etc.): 65 dBA 7am-9pm, 60 dBA 9pm-7am. Sound projected from one district into a quieter district may not exceed the quieter district's limit. Limits use a two-minute Leq average.
Exceeding the Table 1 limit is a class 1 misdemeanor (disorderly conduct) and/or a civil infraction with fines up to $750/day.
