Lincoln's Table 1 sets property-line sound limits by receiving land use: residential 65 dBA day / 55 dBA night, noise-sensitive or agricultural-residential 60/50 dBA, commercial 70 dBA at all times, and industrial 75 dBA at all times.
LMC 8.24.090 Table 1 fixes maximum ten-minute Leq sound levels measured at or within the receiving property's boundary. Residential land use is 65 dBA from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 55 dBA at night; noise-sensitive zones and agricultural-residential land are 60 dBA day and 50 dBA night; commercial/business is 70 dBA at all times; and industrial is 75 dBA at all times. Specific noise sources (music, animals, loudspeakers) carry their own tighter time-based limits in 8.24.090(a). Measurements use an ANSI Type II or better sound level meter. The ordinance covers Lincoln plus the surrounding three miles.
Misdemeanor: fine up to $500 or up to six months jail. Each day a violation continues is a separate offense.
