Under Sec. 165.23, operating lawn maintenance equipment such as mowers, edgers, trimmers, and power-driven hedge shears in a residential zone (or within 500 feet) is prohibited between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Leaf blowers fall within this lawn-equipment category.
Seminole County's noise ordinance restricts noisy yard equipment overnight. Sec. 165.23 lists mowers, edgers, trimmers, and power-driven hedge shears; gas and electric leaf blowers are lawn maintenance equipment covered by the same 11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. residential limit. Outside that window there is no county decibel cap specific to blowers, but the general noise-disturbance prohibition (165.21) still applies. There is no county-wide daytime ban or gas-blower ban like some California cities impose. A city within Seminole County may adopt stricter rules.
Overnight lawn-equipment use is enforced under Sec. 1.8, Seminole County Code (165.61); each continuing day is a separate offense. The county may also pursue injunctive relief (165.62).
