DeKalb County noise ordinance (Ch. 16, Art. VII) applies to unincorporated areas. Quiet hours: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM in residential areas — it is unlawful to create sound plainly audible inside a sealed neighboring single-family home. Commercial/industrial dB limits also apply. DeKalb County's noise ordinance (Ch. 16, Art. VII, Code of Ordinances) applies to unincorporated DeKalb County. Under §16-303, it is unlawful between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM to make or allow any sound that projects, emits, or transmits into any single-family detached dwelling in a residential area such that it is plainly audible anywhere within the interior of the sealed dwelling. For multifamily dwellings, the same quiet hours apply for plainly audible sounds in common areas. Division 2 (§16-305) sets commercial/industrial dB limits: 70 dB(A) commercial, 80 dB(A) industrial, 7:01 AM–10:59 PM; and 60 dB(A) during nighttime hours.
