Under Β§16-303, it is unlawful between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM to make or allow any sound that projects, emits, or transmits into any single-family detached dwelling in a residential area such that it is plainly audible anywhere within the interior of the sealed dwelling. For multifamily dwellings, the same quiet hours apply for plainly audible sounds in common areas. Division 2 (Β§16-305) sets commercial/industrial dB limits: 70 dB(A) commercial, 80 dB(A) industrial, 7:01 AMβ10:59 PM; and 60 dB(A) during nighttime hours.
