Arapahoe County's 2025 parking ordinance specifically targets oversized commercial vehicles and trailers parked in residential neighborhoods on county roads. The Land Development Code regulates commercial vehicle storage by zone district.
Ordinance No. 2024-02, effective January 1, 2025, was adopted in part to address oversized commercial vehicles and trailers parked in residential neighborhoods on unincorporated county roads. Sheriff deputies and designated county staff can issue $150 citations for commercial vehicles violating parking regulations. Vehicles obstructing roads, interfering with maintenance, or parked in posted No Parking zones may be towed. The Land Development Code regulates commercial vehicle storage on private property based on the underlying zone district. Commercial parking lots are not permitted on areas designated for private off-street parking. Agricultural and industrial zone districts generally have more flexibility for commercial vehicle storage.
$150 citation or tow for road parking violations. Code enforcement for private property zoning violations.
