Baltimore County, MD Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

BCZR Section 431 governs commercial vehicles on residential property. A commercial vehicle over 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight may not be parked on a residential lot beyond time essential to immediate use. One commercial vehicle per dwelling unit weighing 10,000 pounds or less may be parked longer only if the owner or operator resides on the lot and the vehicle is in a fully enclosed structure, or parked in a side or rear yard with no materials, products, freight, or equipment visible and advertising limited to lettering on the front doors. Separately, Baltimore County Code Section 18-2-206 prohibits parking a commercial vehicle on public roads within a residential zone unless essential to immediate use.
