Section 114-56(a) bans parking or storing any 'commercial vehicle' in a residentially zoned district, or on agricultural-zoned subdivision lots under an acre, and bars parking one in the street right-of-way outright. Section 114-57(b) defines commercial vehicle broadly: any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 20,001 pounds or more, construction equipment like backhoes and bulldozers, trucks hauling waste, hazardous or noxious materials, and fully enclosed 'box trucks.' Recreational vehicles are carved out of the definition. Narrow exceptions apply under § 114-56(f) for a commercial vehicle actually performing temporary service on the property, making a bona fide delivery, or responding as an emergency vehicle.
