Vancouver restricts parking of large commercial vehicles in residential areas. Heavy trucks and equipment may not be stored on residential streets or properties visible from the street.
Large commercial vehicles, heavy trucks, and construction equipment are subject to parking restrictions in Vancouver residential zones. Vehicles over 10,000 lbs GVWR or with more than two axles generally may not be parked overnight in residential areas. Small commercial vehicles and work vans used for personal transportation may park at residential properties. Loading and unloading is permitted for reasonable periods during daytime hours.
Commercial vehicles parked in violation of residential restrictions may be cited and required to relocate.
