Weld County, CO Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

Weld County Code §23-1-90 defines a commercial vehicle as any vehicle used or previously used commercially, excluding uses listed by right in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, and includes semi-tractors and trailers, dump trucks, construction equipment, box trucks and tow trucks. Where such parking is allowed under Article III, §23-4-950 requires a Zoning Permit for a Commercial Vehicle (ZPCV), issued only if the property is a legal lot of at least one acre, the vehicle is compatible with the surrounding area, carries current registration and plates, and is removed when the use ceases. In Greeley, commercial vehicles parked in areas zoned residential may be towed under Municipal Code §16-685(b).
