LDC Sec. 34-3107 requires duplex and two-family-attached units to be constructed with a driveway for each unit at least 20 feet wide and 20 feet long, built of concrete, asphalt, or concrete pavers and compliant with Lee County AC 11-12 for residential driveways. The driveway must be maintained in a safe, pothole-free condition for the life of the dwelling, and long-term or permanent use for activities other than vehicle parking and driving is prohibited. More broadly, LDC Sec. 34-2017 bars parking on grass, sand, or dirt in improved low-turnover lots, and Sec. 34-2020 requires two off-street spaces per single-family, duplex, or mobile-home unit.
