Shall not be located in the required front yard of any agricultural or residential district; except that parking is allowed in any legal driveway within the front yard in an agricultural or residential district, and provided further that all parking areas shall be set back a minimum of five feet from all property lines. Linn County Code § 107-93(e)(5)(i) bars off-street parking areas from the required front yard in any agricultural or residential zoning district. The one exception is parking inside a legal driveway within that front yard, rather than open lawn parking. Wherever parking is allowed, it must also be set back at least five feet from every property line. The same subsection keeps parking and driveways out of required buffers between commercial/industrial and residential land and out of side yards next to residential districts.
