Section 54-356(g) requires every off-street parking area in the county's zoned towns to be surfaced with concrete, bituminous concrete, or compacted gravel/crushed stone that's properly sealed and surface-treated; plain dirt or unsealed loose gravel doesn't qualify. Paved lots must also keep vehicles at least 10 feet back from the street right-of-way (§54-356(h)). Like the rest of Chapter 54, this governs only unincorporated towns that adopted county zoning under Wis. Stat. §59.69. Appleton and the other incorporated cities set their own parking-surface standards.
