Full Breakdown
Bernalillo County code typically requires vehicles to be parked on improved surfaces (concrete, asphalt, gravel in some areas). Front yard parking on dirt may be common in rural NM but restricted in city limits. Inoperable vehicles may not be stored in driveways. Driveway widening or additions require permits and must meet zoning setbacks. Some cities limit the percentage of front yard that can be paved.
