Full Breakdown

County Code Sec. 82-53 bars parking a vehicle on any street in a nonresidential area for more than 30 minutes between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. of any day. The only exception is physicians on emergency calls. The rule applies to unincorporated county roads only; it does not reach Albuquerque, which enforces its own on-street parking rules, nor Los Ranchos de Albuquerque or Tijeras, which have separate codes. The same article also authorizes towing vehicles left unattended on a street for more than 42 hours as presumptively abandoned (Sec. 82-54).

Violations & Fines

Violating the all-night parking rule is a misdemeanor under the county's general penalty provision; a vehicle left in violation can also be tagged and, if unattended long enough, impounded by the sheriff's department at the owner's expense.
