Within a level, places are listed alphabetically by name, so position inside a level carries no meaning.

• Berkeley, CAHeavy Restrictions

  Berkeley has no blanket overnight parking ban, but oversized vehicles are prohibited 2am-5am and all vehicles must move every 72 hours under local and state law.

• Boston, MAHeavy Restrictions

  Boston requires a resident parking permit to park on most residential streets 6 PM to 8 AM. Snow emergencies trigger tow-and-plow on posted routes with 48-hour tow windows.

• Butte County, CAHeavy Restrictions

  Camping or sleeping overnight in a recreational vehicle, travel trailer, camper, or tent on unincorporated Butte County land outside a lawful campground or RV park is prohibited except on rural-zoned parcels (AG, TM, TPZ, RC, RR, FR), where it is limited to 14 days per 30-day period without hookups or up to 180 days per year with an Administrative Permit and approved power/sewage/water.

  Napa does not impose a citywide overnight parking ban on passenger vehicles. On most residential streets, vehicles may park overnight provided they comply with the 72-hour rule in Napa Municipal Code §10.36.090 (as amended by Ordinance O2024 effective January 17, 2025), which requires that any vehicle move at least 1,320 feet (one-quarter mile) every 72 hours (or 100 feet if it is DMV-registered to that street). Restricted residential permit zones (NMC §10.36.260) limit weekday daytime parking around schools, and the 4-hour oversized-vehicle rule (NMC §10.36.070) applies to RVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles around the clock.

• Nashville, TNHeavy Restrictions

  Metro Nashville prohibits overnight parking, stopping, or standing by large vehicles, USDOT Class 4 and up, including box trucks, semi-trailers and dump trucks, anywhere in the public right-of-way, with no permit exception for the overnight hours.

• Norfolk County, MAHeavy Restrictions

  Many Norfolk County towns enforce overnight parking bans. Quincy bans 1-6 AM year-round (no permit option). Brookline prohibits 2-6 AM with limited permit program. Weymouth has winter overnight ban November 1-April 1.

• Ojai, CAHeavy RestrictionsNone: no general overnight ban

  Ojai does not have a general overnight street parking ban. Vehicles parked on public streets must not exceed the 72-hour parking limit. No parking on streets during posted sweeping times. Abandoned or inoperable vehicles are subject to towing.

• Overland Park, KSHeavy Restrictions

  Overland Park sets no citywide overnight street-parking ban, but layers strict residential rules: RVs, boats and trailers must be screened behind a fence in a side or rear yard, commercial vehicles are barred from residential areas entirely, and streets clear at 48 hours.

  Riverside does not impose a citywide overnight parking ban on residential streets, but oversized and recreational vehicles are restricted. Per the city Parking FAQ, RVs and campers may park on the street only 24 hours before and 24 hours after a trip for loading/unloading.

• San Diego, CAHeavy Restrictions

  SDMC §86.0139 prohibits oversized and recreational vehicles from parking on public streets between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Oversized vehicles are defined as exceeding 27 feet in length AND 7 feet in height. Parking any such vehicle within 50 feet of an intersection is prohibited at any time. Residents may obtain a Temporary Overnight Recreational Vehicle Permit (TORVP) at $1.50 per 24-hour period, with a maximum of 72 permits per address per year.

• Santa Barbara County, CAHeavy Restrictions

  Unincorporated Santa Barbara County has no blanket overnight ban on residential roads; the limit is the 72-hour rule. The County may post county highways as no-parking between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. by resolution (Sec. 23-11). In County off-street lots, parking is banned from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. unless part of the Safe Parking Program (Ordinance 5163).

• Santa Cruz County, CAHeavy Restrictions

  Unincorporated Santa Cruz County has no blanket overnight ban on ordinary cars on residential streets, but SCCC 9.70.620 bans overnight RV/mobile-home street parking, SCCC 9.36.080 bans overnight parking in county lots, and several beach areas (SCCC 9.36.050) close to parking from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

  Santa Maria has no city-wide overnight curfew on ordinary cars parked on residential streets. The 72-hour rule applies to all vehicles, and Section 7-5.18 imposes an 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. ban on trucks, buses, and CVC-defined vehicles parked longer than 30 minutes in residential districts. Resident permits are available for posted permit zones.

  Unincorporated Sonoma County has no blanket overnight parking ban on all County roads. Instead, Sonoma County Code Sec. 18-3.3 allows parking to be prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on designated road portions, and Sec. 18-3.5 lets the Board of Supervisors create posted 'No Overnight Parking' zones by resolution.

  Unincorporated Tulare County does not have a general overnight (e.g., 2 a.m.-5 a.m.) on-street parking ban. The main limit is the 72-hour street-storage rule in County Code 3-03-1000. Overnight parking can still be barred on specific roads or hours by Board resolution under Section 3-03-1125, marked with signs or curb paint.
