There is no countywide overnight parking ban. Cities set their own rules: the City of Holland prohibits on-street parking from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. between October 15 and May 15, with a limited summer exception for passenger vehicles.
Overnight on-street parking is a city and township matter, not a county one. Under City of Holland Code Sec. 18-27, only currently licensed, operable one- to twelve-passenger motor vehicles, motorcycles and trucks not over two tons may park between the sidewalk lines between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. from May 15 through October 15; outside that window overnight street parking is banned. Trailers and nonmotorized recreational vehicles are never allowed overnight. Unincorporated townships such as Georgetown rely on the Michigan Vehicle Code rather than a fixed overnight ban. Always confirm the ordinance for your city or township.
Overnight parking violations are civil infractions handled by the municipal parking violations bureau; fines are set by the local ordinance and unmoved vehicles may be towed.
