Montgomery City Code Section 27-385(a) restricts overnight parking specifically within the central business district. window. The rule applies to vehicles parked on public streets inside the CBD boundary and operates independently of the metered-parking hour restrictions the city traffic engineer sets under Sec. 27-382. Outside the central business district, there is no separate blanket overnight parking ban in Chapter 27; residential streets are addressed instead through the trailer and commercial-vehicle permit rule at Sec. 27-385(b), and long-term violators anywhere in the city face towing under the tow-away zone authority of Sec.

27-386. Enforcement of the CBD overnight limit runs through the Montgomery Police Department and the city traffic engineer, who may also designate additional restricted zones with yellow curb markings carrying a one-hour default limit under Sec. 27-382(b). Repeat violators citywide face a separate consequence: once a vehicle accumulates five or more delinquent, unpaid parking fines, Sec. 00 administrative fee to the Montgomery Municipal Court plus satisfy every outstanding fine before release. If the immobilization period lapses, the city or its towing contractor may remove the vehicle entirely, adding removal and storage costs to the balance owed. Because Sec. 27-385 does not set its own separate penalty, a conviction defaults to the Code's general penalty provision.
