Summary

Marysville caps recreational vehicle parking on any city street or alley at four hours, effectively barring overnight RV parking, under Chapter 11.08's parking regulations.

No person shall park or park and detach any recreational vehicle upon any street or alley; provided, however, a recreational vehicle may park on a city street for a maximum period of four hours, provided said recreational vehicle does not violate any parking restrictions (such as posted time zones), meets all other parking regulations, and is not in violation of Chapter 7.05 MMC. It shall be a parking violation to park a recreational vehicle for more than four hours on any day within the city regardless of whether the recreational vehicle moves to another location.

(2) A tractor-trailer combination may be parked only on the following streets: 47th Avenue NE south of the 1st Street Bypass. Unattached trailers and dollies of such combinations may be parked only where combinations are allowed to be parked. When parked, blocks must be placed under the trailer legs and the trailer must be marked with reflectorized devices that meet all industry standards. It is a violation to park in any other public rights-of-way.

Full Breakdown

MMC § 11.08.200(1) allows a recreational vehicle to park on a city street for a maximum of four hours, and it's a parking violation to exceed that limit on any given day even if the RV moves to another location. The rule applies on top of any other posted restrictions and Chapter 7.05 MMC's separate RV-occupancy provisions. There's no citywide overnight ban on ordinary passenger vehicles, MMC § 11.08.030(3) instead sets a general three-consecutive-day limit for any vehicle left on a public street or alley, but RVs face the tighter four-hour ceiling that functions as Marysville's overnight parking restriction.

Violations & Fines

Parking an RV on a Marysville street past four hours, even after relocating, is a parking violation under MMC § 11.08.200, subject to the chapter's standard $40 fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I park my RV overnight on a Marysville street?
Not for long. MMC § 11.08.200(1) caps street parking for recreational vehicles at four hours per day, which effectively rules out overnight parking.
Does moving my RV to another block reset the time limit?
No. The code specifically bars exceeding four hours 'regardless of whether the recreational vehicle moves to another location.'
