Laredo generally allows overnight on-street parking in residential zones but prohibits it on arterials and truck routes. Parks close to vehicles 10 PM to 6 AM. No sleeping in vehicles in city parks or most commercial lots.
Laredo Code Chapter 27 does not impose a general citywide overnight parking ban on residential streets, but parking is prohibited 2 AM to 6 AM on designated arterial streets and truck routes to allow street sweeping and traffic flow. City parks close to vehicle access between 10 PM and 6 AM per Chapter 20. Sleeping or camping in vehicles on public streets, parks, or parking lots is prohibited. Commercial parking lots may establish their own overnight rules with posted signage; trespass after posting is enforceable by LPD. Residential permit zones downtown and near TAMIU limit overnight parking to permit holders only. Vehicles parked continuously over 72 hours on any public street may be tagged as abandoned.
Arterial overnight: 25-50 dollars. Park after hours: 50-150 dollars. Sleeping in vehicle: trespass warning then citation. 72-hour tag: tow after 72 more hours.
