Laredo zoning limits RV and boat storage on residential lots to the side or rear yard, screened from street view. No living in RVs on residential property. Maximum one RV per lot in most residential zones.
Laredo Land Development Code Chapter 24 restricts recreational vehicle, boat, and trailer storage on residential property. RVs and boats must be parked on an improved surface (concrete or asphalt) in the side or rear yard, or behind a 6-foot screening fence if in a front yard setback. Vehicles cannot block sidewalks or extend into the public right-of-way. Maximum one RV plus one boat per residential lot in R-1 and R-2 zones. Occupying an RV as a residence on private property is prohibited except in licensed RV parks. RVs may be parked in the driveway for active loading/unloading up to 72 hours per month. Commercial trailers and semi-tractors are prohibited in residential zones regardless of screening.
First notice: 10-day cure period. Non-compliance: Class C misdemeanor up to 500 dollars per day. Living in RV: immediate abatement order.
